Best Buy 80 ((LINK))

The TCL 6-Series Roku TV sits at the top of our list of best TVs for a number of reasons. It offers superb picture quality, an affordable price tag and Roku, the best smart TV system. It also includes gaming features like 4K/120Hz input and variable refresh rate that can get the most out of consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X. When a friend asks me what TV to buy from 55- to 85-inches, and money is still an object, I tell them to get the TCL 6-Series.

Looking for a high-end TV with spectacular image quality, but don't want an OLED? The Samsung QN90B is your best bet. This TV uses QLED TV tech augmented by mini-LED for a brighter image than any OLED TV. The spectacular contrast of OLED still won out in our side-by-side tests, but the QN90B QLED screen comes closer than ever.

Among midpriced models we liked the TCL 6-Series just a little better in our side-by-side comparison, but this Hisense is a strong contender. Its excellent image quality is anchored by best-in-class brightness that improves its bright-room picture quality and makes HDR TV movies, shows and games really pop. It's actually brighter than the TCL with better contrast, but the TCL's slightly more accurate image gave it the edge overall. The Hisense uses Google TV instead of Roku, and unlike the TCL, the U8H includes an ATSC 3.0 tuner. Frankly, you can't go wrong with either one.

When we compared the best budget TVs side-by-side, the picture quality of Vizio's V-Series clearly emerged as the leader of the pack. The Vizio offered the most balanced and accurate picture during our comparisons, and it comes with some useful extras such as Dolby Vision support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth compatibility and variable refresh rate for potentially smoother gaming. The biggest downside of the Vizio is its smart TV platform, Vizio SmartCast. It's crowded, slow and littered with ads for platforms such as Tubi and Kidoodle TV. Even when you factor in the cost of adding a new streaming device, however, the V-Series remains the best overall entry-level TV that we tested.

Amazon Fire TV 4-Series: One of many Fire TVs available for sale, this one is typical of the breed: so-so image quality and a smart TV system that lags behind Roku and Google TV. If you're a big fan of Alexa voice or see this TV at a really low price it might be worthwhile, but otherwise go for the TCL 4-Series. Read our best budget TVs roundup.

In our opinion bigger is better, and your money is best spent on large screen sizes rather than a slight upgrade in image quality. The answer also depends on room size and seating distance: If you have a big room and sit farther away, you'll want a bigger TV.

The LG C2 is the smash hit from the company's 2022 line-up, delivering a brighter OLED Evo screen that still offers the super-deep, super-precise black levels that OLED is known for. You've also got LG's very best image processing, so everything on its 4K screen looks detailed and natural, even from a less-than-perfect streaming source.

This is also the best gaming TV you can get when it comes to the sheer number of features. You've got four HDMI 2.1 ports, all ready for 4K 120Hz and VRR. It supports FreeSync and G-Sync. It's one of a very small number of TVs to handle Dolby Vision gaming at 120fps from the Xbox Series X. And you can control and tweak all of this easily from its interface.

Do you want the best TV you can buy at any price point? Then this is your new TV. The LG G2 OLED makes pretty much every frame of any source you care to mention look even more sublime than it has on any LG OLED before. That's because a new backlight enables LG to get significantly higher brightness from its already impressive OLED panel.

But there's lots to like here too, including four HDMI 2.1 inputs with eARC and support for 4K 120Hz, VRR and ALLM, making this one of the best 85-inch TVs for gaming. There's a 60W audio system on board and while it's not as punchy as the best soundbars or best AV receivers it's not bad for such a slim TV.

Do you want Dolby Vision? If so, a Samsung isn't for you: it prefers HDR10+. This isn't a big deal for movie watching as most devices and streaming support a range of HDR formats, but if you're a gamer it may be a deal breaker as Dolby Vision is arguably the best HDR format for gaming. On TVs that don't support it, Dolby Vision is just converted to HDR10.

Don't forget about connectivity. eARC HDMI is a must for connecting to the best soundbars or best AV receivers, and you'll want multiple HDMI ports for multiple devices. HDMI 2.1 is the one to get here, as that's the format used by next-gen gaming consoles for the best gaming experience.

When we tested the best 85-inch TVs we didn't just focus on the picture quality and performance, as important as that is. We tested the whole experience from getting the TV up and running to how well its smart TV features and any digital assistants performed, whether it was a good choice for next-gen gaming and watching sports, and of course whether it delivered better value than its rivals.

The best 85-inch TVs need to be pretty spectacular, because at this size you notice any flaws. We tested our TVs in a wide range of environments, across a wide range of sources and streaming services, at different times of the day to see how well they delivered in a typical home.

The best TV under $1,500 we've tested is the Samsung S95B. It's a fantastic TV for pretty much any usage, but at this price point, you're limited to a 55-inch model. It looks amazing in a dark room thanks to its nearly infinite contrast ratio, delivering deep inky blacks with no distracting blooming around bright highlights or subtitles. It's also a great choice for a bright room, as it gets bright enough to overcome glare and has fantastic reflection handling. HDR content looks amazing thanks to its wide color gamut, and it delivers bright, vibrant colors that look very realistic.

It's a great TV for pretty much any use. It has a great selection of gaming features, including HDMI 2.1 bandwidth on all four HDMI inputs, meaning you can enjoy 4k @ 120Hz gaming from the new-gen consoles. Like the Samsung S95B OLED, you can only get up to a 55-inch size for under $1,500, but if you can stretch your budget a bit or wait for a good deal, you can sometimes find the 65-inch model for about that as well, and it's the best 65-inch TV under $1,500.

The LG C2 OLED, Samsung S95B OLED, and the Samsung QN90B QLED are all limited to a 55-inch size for under $1,500, but what if you want something bigger? Stepping down to a lower mid-range TV like the Hisense U8H is the best choice if you have a larger living room and are sitting farther from the TV. It's an incredible TV overall, with fantastic contrast, resulting in deep blacks and bright highlights, and it gets incredibly bright, so HDR content stands out the way the content creator intended. All three sizes of the U8H are available for under $1,500, so you can choose between a 55, 65, or 75-inch model depending on your requirements. If you're looking for a large TV, the Hisense 75U8H is the best 75-inch TV under $1,500.

Our recommendations above are what we think are currently the best TVs under $1,500 to buy for most people. We factor in the price (a cheaper TV wins over a pricier one if the difference isn't worth it), feedback from our visitors, and availability (no TVs that are difficult to find or almost out of stock everywhere).

(PhysOrg.com) -- Initial results of new research from Rice University indicate that, among physical retailers, Wal-Mart will be the top seller of electronics this holiday season, besting consumer-electronics giant Best Buy. The preliminary results align with current events for both retailers: Best Buy shares plunged 18 percent last week, and only this week Wal-Mart, the nation's largest retailer, started deeply discounting the iPhone 4. googletag.cmd.push(function() googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1449240174198-2'); ); The new consumer research conducted at Rice offers a new look at why sales are relatively lower at Best Buy than Wal-Mart, though both have similar levels of customer satisfaction.
