Where Can I Buy Magnesium

The first thing you notice about magnesium is how dazzling white it is. And then you hold it in your hand and your brain does a double-take. Is this actually metal?? Magnesium is very light: a full 50% less than aluminum! You half expect it to float in air, or at least water, but no, it's all mind tricks. And speaking of water, keep it away. The two don't get along as water (especially hot water) will readily attack magnesium and dull that beautiful snow-white finish with tarnish.

  • On June 21, 2022, Vi-Jon recalled one lot of CVS magnesium citrate lemon flavored oral solution due to contamination with Gluconacetobacter liquefaciens. On July 25, 2022, the recall was expanded to include all flavors and lots of magnesium citrate oral solution. Additional information including the complete list of affected products can be found at -market-withdrawals-safety-alerts/vi-jon-llc-expands-voluntary-nationwide-recall-all-flavors-and-lots-within-expiry-magnesium-citrate?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery.

  • Vi-Jon is a key supplier of magnesium citrate oral solution.

  • Oral magnesium citrate is commonly used as a component of bowel preparations prior to colonoscopy and as a laxative. Guidelines from the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) do not recommend oral magnesium citrate as part of a bowel preparation due to limited efficacy and potential toxicity. Oral magnesium citrate is also used as a laxative. ASGE Guidelines can be found at =S0016-5107%2814%2902268-8

  • If additional bowel preparation is required beyond the usual polyethylene glycol (Miralax) and bisacodyl that are recommended for most patients, prescription oral sodium sulfate (Suprep) or oral sodium sulfate with PEG-ELS (Suclear) may be useful. Use alternative laxatives such as milk of magnesia or lactulose if oral magnesium is being used only as a laxative vs. bowel preparation. Milk of magnesia is not a good alternative for use as a bowel preparation because it is opaque and not clear.

At the end of the day, we realised that most magnesium products only had a few forms of the magnesium the body needs (at best). Plus, nobody had "cracked the code" on the right ratios of these different forms. So we realized we needed to create this product ourselves. We brought in one of the smartest formulators in the world to work with us...

mMagBicarb is USP grade magnesium hydroxide that is tested at a 99.9% purity (no fishy, metal taste). We source our magnesium from the Dead Sea where we also get our other magnesium products. mMagBicarb must be infused into carbonated water in order to create magnesium bicarbonate, like nature intended.

Starting with purified, carbonated water (carbonated spring water can be used) is key and then adding unprocessed salts along with restructuring creates the most potent form of magnesium bicarbonate water in the world.* This amazing form of magnesium is essential and felt almost instantly with most people.*

When combined with our mRelease (magnesium chloride) and number one food sources of magnesium (mBreakfast) you can be assured your magnesium levels are being replenished and maintained.* Magnesium has a burn rate and it is dependent on our lifestyles. Smoking, drug use, over exercising, stress, and poor eating habits all contribute to a higher burn rate which in turn lower our magnesium levels. Magnesium bicarbonates are not replenished by the body and must be consumed daily.*

Per the recommendation of a very close friend, I purchased and immediately began using this product for a whole host of magnesium-deficiency symptoms that had been plaguing me since November of 2021. After a month of supplementation, these symptoms have either greatly diminished or disappeared entirely. While researching the essential role of Magnesium in the body, I was especially interested to learn that Magnesium Bicarbonate used to be highly available in drinking water sourced from natural springs and bodies of water, but is now non-existent in tap and distilled water. As such, Magnesium Bicarbonate is the most readily available form of Magnesium absorbed in the human GI tract, explaining why so many different forms of Magnesium supplementation were ineffective in resolving my symptoms. The process of making my own Magnesium Bicarbonate water at home has been both easy and great fun, and most importantly, life changing in allowing me to reclaim my health. Thank you to the entire team at Crucial Four for making my return to good health possible!!

A 2016 review of research found that industrial agriculture has lowered the amount of magnesium the average person gets through foods. That means you may need supplements to correct a magnesium deficiency.

You need magnesium for many tasks. It's involved in more than 300 chemical reactions in the body. Muscles need this mineral to contract; nerves need it to send and receive messages. It keeps your heart beating steadily and your immune system strong. Most people can get enough magnesium by eating foods such as green leafy vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts, and fish.

Dr. Bruce Bistrian, chief of clinical nutrition at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, says magnesium deficiency in otherwise healthy individuals eating a balanced diet is rare. "The kidney has an extraordinary ability to reduce magnesium loss in urine, and thus achieve magnesium balance on a wide variety of intakes," he explains.

Even with an adequate diet, some people are at increased risk of magnesium deficiency, including people with digestive disorders, such as celiac disease and chronic diarrhea. Also certain medicines (including some "water pills" and antibiotics) can lower blood magnesium levels.

In these situations, magnesium supplements may be necessary, but taking too much can cause or worsen diarrhea. People with chronic kidney disease should not take supplements unless prescribed by their doctor.

Magnesium supplements are sometimes marketed as "super-pills" that can fix a long list of ailments such as muscle tension, low energy, and trouble sleeping in people with adequate total body magnesium. The evidence to support the claims just isn't there.

If you're concerned about low magnesium, ask your doctor for a blood test. To maintain a healthy magnesium level, it's best to get this mineral from food, especially high-fiber foods such as dark green leafy vegetables, unrefined grains, and beans. The recommended dietary allowance (RDA) of magnesium for adults is 420 milligrams (mg) per day.

Epsom salt can also be used as first aid on insect bites, sprains, bruises and to draw out splinter. Due to the fact that Epsom Salt can be absorbed through the skin, the magnesium level of the body will also increase when the skin is exposed to Epsom Salts. This increase can stimulate the serotonin production within the brain. Serotonin is a mood-regulating neurotransmitter which can elevate feelings of positivity and well-being. Magnesium sulfate is also able to sedate the nervous system.

In gardening and agriculture, magnesium sulfate is used to correct magnesium deficiency in the soil. It can also be added to the soil of potted plants, or to certain crops which need a high amount of magnesium such as roses, tomatoes, peppers and potatoes. It is preferred over other magnesium soil amendments like dolomitic lime because of its high water solubility. It is also able to blend very well with oils.
